What's going on everybody. My name is Jonathan Bangsal and I am your Executive Officer for this year. I've been in the Unit since freshmen year, this year being my last. I joined ROTC not because I didn't want to take cultural history, nor did I join because of the military. I did not even know such a class existed until I saw the activities involved during P.E. class. As a freshmen waiting by the P.E. numbers for roll call, a group of kids like myself caught my eye when they started to chant and jog around the track. I took notice of how disciplined and organized they were and how it may help me later in basketball. If you don't already know, I am a sports fanatic! I just love being active and involved with many activities. Name a sport, any sport, I do that. If i don't already, I'm willing to. That's just me, I am willing to try new things. Considering the fact that I do sports, I've had difficulties managing school, sports, and ROTC all at the same time. I've made mistakes along the way, however it was from those mistakes that I've learned to become a much better person. So if your involved in sports or not, don't think that you can't excel in both ROTC and school. Some of you are involved in sports and some of you aren't,either way you can always achieve anything if you just put your mind into it. "If you BELIEVE, the mind can CONCEIVE!" - Coach Wrencher. Just ask me, the Officers or soon to be Officers about our mishaps and accomplishments. I'm VERY EXCITED for this year and I look forward to winning all the competitions we have ahead of us.
